Jan H. M. Lim is a researcher and practitioner working in the fields of participatory urban development, planning and design. Her current work explores the intersections between power structures, political systems, and the agency of ordinary citizens to influence spatial development trajectories. She is the Co-Founder and Director (Research & Strategy) of Participate in Design (P!D), a Singapore-based non-profit organisation that facilitates the integration of community-based participatory processes into urban space design and planning. Jan was a PY Fellow under the Philip Yeo Innovation Fellows Programme, a World Cities Summit Young Leader, a Gen.T Leader of Tomorrow, and a member of the Salzburg Global Fellowship.
