As a corporate marketing executive, I've spent most of my career effectively and efficiently marketing products, services and specialty lines of business. Marketing, business development and written communications are part natural gift, part learned skill. I've always known that my gifts and talents were best used helping others achieve their goals, either business or personal. So, today, I couldn't be happier using my skills and talents in the nonprofit sector, helping partner organizations raise funds for building projects that serve orphans in their care. I've never had so much fun. As founder and executive director of 200 Orphanages Worldwide, our mission is to serve as a conduit for good; helping large and small donors make a direct impact in the life of an orphan. Our U.S. based international partners work day-to-day providing for orphans in their care. Our role is to connect donors directly to the safety, shelter and sustainability needs of orphans. As we know, the need is great. We can't do it all, but we can all do something!I am a proud member of Sartell Rotary Club and Scottsdale Society of Women Writers. In 2011, I was awarded the SERvice TO MANkind award from St. Cloud Area Sertoma Club for my work with the orphans. I am renewing my efforts as a published writer, with past essays in a national Christian women's magazine, publisher of a local community newspaper, and as a staff reporter for a local Gannet newspaper.
