Jannae Gammage, founder and CEO of Cyphr, a serial entrepreneur dedicated to building AI-powered software solutions that move the needle for businesses big and small. Her most successful solution, Kansas City based company The Market Base, won numerous awards for it's innovation and ingenuity leading to it's acquisition in early 2022. ————The human brain is a crazy place, and there are two things that fascinate me about what I do as the CEO of a tech-enabled service or tech company (whichever you prefer). First. The concept of consumer logic and how rational yet irrational it can be. And second. The challenge of communicating in a way that persuades and convinces consumers always requires optimization -- so we're basically optimizing for something that is both rational and irrational. I apply the same thinking in building impactful companies that I apply in leadership, because whether you're connecting with a customer or connecting with your team, you're truly just connecting with the fun irrationality of their logic -- in order to bring together ideas, influence an outcome, and also optimize for scale and growth.My entrepreneurial journey started at age 14, accidentally, while trying to double the allowance I received from my first "angel investors" - my parents - so I could buy every Nike Airmax colorway. I’m a military brat that also served 9 years, 11 months so I’m Texas born and "nationally raised" which I attribute to my success as an entrepreneur because of the unique ability it gave me to see the world and it's problems from a unique set of eyes and perspectives. With two successful exits in 5 years, I am using AI to build what I believe will be the most impactful company, Cyphr, a language model that acts as the operating system for intelligent capital deployment to startups and entrepreneurs in real-time, not only fast, but efficiently to grow the entrepreneurial ecosystem and its processes through ingenuity, innovation and modernization. Outside of work, I serve on the Leadership Board for Out In Tech a not-for-profit uniting the LGBTQ+ tech community. I am a lover and teacher of all things ecosystems, startups and economic impact. I also consider myself a flavor ambassador for good BBQ, and can always be spotted in front of the grill Late April through Early September.
