Jannah Bierens is a Black North Carolina native currently residing in Canton, Michigan. With love, joy, and diligent disruption, she collaborates and conspires locally and nationally as a racial/health equity consultant, coach, and skilled facilitator. Passionate about her life’s work, Jannah specializes in the facilitation of meaningful dialogue around root causes of oppression, shifting power, and reclaiming narratives for intentional self, systems, and social transformation.Using an inside-out approach fostered by almost 25 years mostly in community-based public health practice, Mx. Bierens believes that relationships are revolutionary, and that collective justice and healing are integral to honoring our shared humanity and bound liberation to achieve improved wellbeing and health outcomes for ALL.Jannah’s lens combines their lived and career experience with their M.P.H. and M.A. in Social Justice and Community Organizing. This cross-pollination of disciplines allows them a unique position to unapologetically name power imbalance across all systemic levels and highlight entry points for change. Additionally, Jannah deeply values the guidance and lessons through generations of Black superwomen as the education that prepared them most for working collectively, and in community, to get PHREEE.
