The position at the Boy's and girls club gave me a positive outlook on life. In my position I was able to work with a majority of under privileged kids and got to experience an great opportunity. I was in charged of the learning center where the children would spend a hour of their after school time doing homework. During this power hour they were able to concentrate on getting their homework done and and getting a few extra minutes to read. After their power hour we would split into groups and use a rotation system to provide the kids with indoor learning, snack time, gym time, and game room time.

As an intern I managed and tracked wages, participation stats, and employee statuses. I also helped in finding a new database for our Intramural program. I was in charged of making sure all employees had background checks and manged over 400 employee files ensuring they had all of the requirements to be employed. I help and conducted several interviews for potential employees. recruiting, interviewing, hiring, scheduling, training, and supervising student staff; assisting with the development of Ball Sate Rec Center policies and procedures; conducted risk management checks and audits; and completed other job specific duties. I have experience in university recreation center supervision required. I have familiarity with When to Work online scheduling software, Fusion Software, Google Docs, and I Pad.
