About Janne Märkälä

I am proud to have worked in several Director and Manager positions in globally leading technology and machinery companies such as Metso, Valmet and John Deere. My responsibilities have ranged from leading Sales (up to 500 M€, 250+ persons) and Marketing Operations to Dealer Channel management and development, order fulfillment and product support processes. I have also worked as a Managing Director with full profit and loss responsibility for a mid-sized family company (30 M€, 160 persons) providing harvesting services to the forest industry. In my current role as a Business Development Manager, Shredders, I am driving the development of a completely new business segment for BMH Technology Oy. My role also includes Area Sales Manager duties for selected markets.I love working in multi-cultural organizations and have also worked in USA on an expat assignment. I can fluently speak Finnish, English and Swedish as a work language, and have a good understanding of German, too. I am motivated by setting ambitious goals and high work ethics for my own and my team's work. Keeping my own promises and sticking to the truth guide my own working. Coaching the people around me is a key goal for me as a leader. Living actively, especially through outdoor sports, keeps me in a great physical and mental shape for work life!
