My first company.Co-founder of communication agency De Lama's, based in Gent, Belgium. I took care of strategy, social media, live event coverage, event photos and videos. I gave 15 workshops about social media to SMEs and NGOs. My colleagues Pieter and Robyn did copywriting, proofreading, online ads, video editing and analytics. We worked for clients in the youth, cultural, non-profit and travel sector such as European Youth Parliament, Rikolto, Anders Reizen and Publiq.Two of my favourite jobs were covering events for the EYP all around Europe: Berlin, Minsk, Thessaloniki,... and taking portrait photos for the 'Commuter of the week' article series in the newspaper Metro.We called it quits when our clients' budgets and events went straight to 0 in the 2020 pandemic.https://www.delamas.be/

This organisation has played a huge role in my life and made me to who I am today.I was a very active member of the European Youth Parliament from 2009 to 2015, attending over 40 events all over Europe in different roles such as delegate, journalist, newspaper editor and event manager. I participated in training courses about journalism, non-formal learning and event management, then became a trainer in journalism and photography myself and hosted courses in several countries. The organisation made me to who I am today, improving my English, technical media skills, gave me the opportunity to try and fail, managing events and dealing with big budgets at a very young age, as well as social skills, group management, working with volunteers, intercultural understanding and long-lasting friendships in 40 countries. This also heavily influenced my traineeship at the EP, Erasmus exchange in Sweden and later becoming a travel guide in Georgia and Armenia.In the Belgian branch of the European Youth Parliament I was an elected Board member from 2012 to 2014 in the roles of Alumni coordinator and Vice President. I organised small events, meetings and trainings, sent out the newsletter and answered questions from members. In 2013, EYP Belgium hosted one of its biggest events, an International Forum in Gent with 200 participants, where I was part of the organising team.With my communication agency De Lama's, EYP came back into my life, professionally. I took care of their social media with >100 000 followers for 3 years and gave workshops and webinars about social media and event coverage to members. I covered important events all over Europe, for example by live tweeting during speeches at International Sessions and creating videos for partners such as the E.ON Stiftung on the topic of energy.In 2017 to 19 I started an EYP networking group for alumni in Brussels and organised meetings with 10 to 35 participants who work in and around EU institutions.https://eyp.org/

I enjoyed the international environment and the opportunity to attend Strasbourg week and press conferences. In the European Parliament Stagiaires Association, I taught Dutch classes to other trainees every week for five months.

EVA is a Flemish non-profit organisation working towards a decreased consumption of meat, in the interest of health, the environment, global problems and the animals. EVA is a partner of Goed Gevoel, which is the widest read and bestselling monthly magazine in Flanders. In March 2014, they organised the second Goed Gevoel Ladies Fair, a three-day event in Flanders Expo. I was responsible for all practical matters of the EVA "Veggie Lounge" at the fair, including meeting with the event partners, communication towards the 50 volunteers, coordination of 15 cooking workshops and evaluation.

I attended music school 3 times a week for 10 years and graduated cum laude. I then discovered I had a much greater passion and talent.
