Research teams located mainly in R&D Lappeenranta, but responsibilities for Paper businesses’ supporting activities extend also to Central European Research Center (CERC) in Augsburg and Asian Research Center (AsRC) in Changshu. Acting as R&D’s business liaison and participating in various strategy, development and product management processes run by the businesses.Responsible for managing & developing the infrastructure operations of Northern European Research Center (NERC) in Lappeenranta. Research center offers state-of-the-art analytical, lab & piloting services through its five laboratories, Biorefinery Development Center (BrDC) and supporting service functions to UPM’s business stakeholders.Team size 100+. Budget responsibility ~ 10 M€.
