Greet patients who will be having surgery and bring them to the pre-op section of the hospital. There are certain procedures that they need to complete prior to surgery which I help guide them through. The goal is to make the patients feel comfortable and more relaxed about their upcoming surgery.

New York City

Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg initiated an ambitious new program by the Department of Education and other City agencies to reduce chronic absenteeism and truancy during the school year. This Success Mentor initiative was started to help eliminate student truancy in the five New York boroughs. The program will first be deployed in a core group of 25 schools.

The Community Liaison Office (CLO) Coordinator is responsible to the American community in Embassies around the world. In general the CLO helps maintain high morale at post and focuses on 8 areas of responsibility which include: education, welcoming and orientation, maintaining good relations throughout the community, information and resource management.

Skopje, Macedonia

Initiated, implemented and got the NOVA Schools certified to teach the IB curriculum. Also helped secure the assisted school status for NOVA from the Dept. of State (DOS) which enabled the school to have security upgrades paid for by the DOS, as well as other funding for school improvements.

Rockville, Maryland

Managed all communications with the 30+ states that were involved in the Performance Measures Outcomes Project (POMP), organizing the yearly conferences for POMP held in Washington DC. Analyzed and reported on data from POMP at conferences. Lead focus groups for various clients (Dept. of Transportation, Environmental Protection Agency, Red Cross) in DC.

I counseled and advised both Junior and Senior high school students on the college admissions process and helped students in the application process. Worked also with parents of Seniors to inform them of the college application process. Organized a college fair for 25 US college representatives to come to Colegio Maya to talk about their colleges.

Managed a $35 million primary education project, requiring strategic planning in disseminating textbooks to over 30 primary schools throughout Ghana, West Africa. Monitored the progress of each district in the project throughout Ghana. Established excellent working relationships at the Ministry of Education in Ghana, resulting in the Ghanaian government.

Designed and implemented English-language training program for USAID local staff at the Embassy, improving the written and spoken presentations, performance, productivity and confidence improved of the local staff.

Arranged complicated travel plans for the 28 Indonesian professors traveling throughout the US. Acted as liaison between the Indonesian professors and their OSU counterparts.
