I am a motivated and open-minded chemist with over 13 years of working knowledge in the purification of small molecules, natural extracts and short peptides by preparative chromatography. Few years of experience in the field of the purification and synthesis of oligonucleotides during my postdoc stay rounds my skills up.My current work focuses on the development, scale up, transfer and validation of preparative RP-, NP- flash and chiral chromatographic purification processes including isolation by e.g. lyophilization and/or nanofiltration.I enjoy the realization of interdisciplinary, multifaceted projects requiring the understanding of engineering- and chemistry-related questions aiming for an optimized, efficient process. My major interests include process transfers, equipment design and qualification,process development/optimization with focus on scalability, resource optimization, process robustness estimations, trouble shooting.Major achievements:• Process validation and validation studies on 5 process steps involving preparative chromatography and nanofiltration: -> 3 commercial APIs;• Implementation of the Design of Experiment approach for preparative chromatography at CGAM for PAR-studies;• Author of a development guideline for preparative chromatography processes at CGAM;• Upgrade and re-qualification of a production unit to fulfill the latest regulatory requirements;• Lyophilization: evaluation of a scale up approach utilizing two different freeze drying units after parameter optimization.
