Guest critic, lectures and tutor at various architecture schools in Europe

The research project Tectonics in Contemporary Brick Architecture aims to produce a comprehensive study on the use of brick. Topics will range from the production of a singular brick, the tectonic implication of the material in architecture to the urbanistic effect of this widely used material.In adjacent to various architects that contribute their perspective on the research, tutors and students from the Amsterdam Academy of Architecture have been involved in shaping the discourse. The final outcome of the research project is the publication 'Brick, An Exacting Material', published by Architectura & Natura Press in 2015.

The Amsterdam Academy of Architecture trains students at master level to practice architecture, urban design and landscape architecture as skills situated at the interface of fine art, building and civil engineering, and the spatial sciences. Study and work are combined in the course. This unique combination places the Academy in an exceptional position, both nationally and internationally. The course at the Academy is appointed overall best master in the Netherlands 2010.
