As a Training Instructor/Assessor, my primary responsibility is to deliver training courses in accordance with the syllabus assigned to me. This involves supervising delegates during practical sessions, ensuring that all activities are conducted in a manner that prioritizes safety and professionalism.One of my key tasks is to maintain open lines of communication with delegates. This involves providing constructive feedback, answering queries, and creating an environment conducive to learning. After the completion of theoretical and practical training/assessment, I am responsible for compiling individual delegate assessments. This is a critical task as these reports, which must have all relevant sections filled out and specific comments detailed, may be audited in the event of an accident or incident.For assignments that are offshore and overseas, I am tasked with preparing a thorough report detailing the overall status of the assignment. This report is then submitted to the client along with individual reports.Collaboration is a significant part of my role. I work closely with other instructors and assessors, sharing practices and ideas to continuously improve the training program. I also participate in regular training and professional development sessions to enhance my own skills and knowledge.Ensuring that all training equipment and materials are in good condition is another important aspect of my role. If any issues arise, I report them to the appropriate department for prompt resolution.I assist in the development and revision of training course materials to ensure they meet the changing needs of the industry and regulatory bodies. I also continually review updates to legislation and report any changes to the Training Centre Manager.Finally, I evaluate the effectiveness of the training programs by gathering feedback from delegates and observing their progress. This helps ensure that the training provided is beneficial and meets the intended objectives.

Operating the main and deck cranes within the designed (SWL) loads in accordance with the de-rating tables applicable to existing weather and sea state condition.Ensuring that the safe work procedures for crane lifts are adhered to.Checking the status of the machine in general, mechanical conditions, certifications and the instrumentations of the cranes.Checking before every lifting that the weights are in the capacity limits of the crane and that will be present all the conditions to implement the lifting (correct rigging, acceptable weather conditions, lift area free of people).Reporting any malfunction immediately.Liaising with bridge and 1st Assistant Superintendent /Deck Foreman when making any lift that could affect the vessel stability.Ensuring that only marked, certified and suitable lifting appliances are used and available for use for lifting purposes.Making daily inspection of crane cable and condition.Working closely with the Contract Support Engineer and client leadership / schedulers to plan daily activities.Maintaining the cranes daily cleaning action including operator cabin.Liaising with 1st Assistant Engineer/Chief Electrical on crane maintenance and performance to ensure that repairs and preventive maintenance are carried out properly.Inspecting weekly the cranes in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendation.Filling up the crane logbook as required for all lifts over 50tons.Ensuring quality assurance of all work scopes are maintained, and all work is performed in accordance with company policies and the Health and Safety at work act.Using excellent communication skills at all levels while remaining dedicated to ensuring understanding of company requirements and procedures. Decision making, implementing the required process resulting with the best outcome. Using my own initiative, ensuring all health and safety requirements are met, working at a high standard to ensure work is completed to a professional level.
