Jan Schneidewind graduated in 2003 from the Bauhaus-University with distinction.He worked as an architect in the Netherlands, UK, and Germany. Through his extensive experience in the implementation of large scale urban redevelopment schemes in historically sensitive context, he became an expert in the field of ’Bauen im Bestand’.In 2008 he was awarded a scholarship for postgraduate studies in building conservation from the Deutsche Stiftung Denkmalschutz.Jan Schneidewind worked as an architect on the refurbishment of St.Pancras Hotel in London, the internationally acclaimed mixed-use redevelopment Bikini Berlin, the redevelopment of the BayWa Headquarter in Munich and on the major refurbishment of the Deutsches Museum in Munich. He is a member of the Bavarian Chamber of Architects and of the German National Committee of ICOMOS.
