My name is Rick Jansen, I'm a Solution Architect and DevOps Engineer at Thales Nederland B.V. for a team that deploys and manages a full application suite for the software development proces at Thales NL. I graduated my IT Service Management (ITSM) study at Saxion Enschede in February of 2017.Ever since I was young I had an interest for Technique and IT, when problems occurred I always (and most of the time successfully) tried to solve them. Because of this I became to be known as the "IT-Guy" with friend and family and were always asked to solve IT related problems. I didn't mind to do this because I loved, and still love, doing this. This also led to choosing the IT Service Management study later on in my live. During the study I developed my skills in the field of IT further and gained lots of new knowledge in this area. This was partly because of my study and partly because of my own interest of IT in my free time. I'm a big fan of new IT technologies and methods. This means I'm always busy learning new things about various IT related projects and products. I like to combine my operations knowledge which I gained at school with development knowledge i gained myself by working with scripting languages like PHP and Javascript and using Linux for web hosting and such. You can see me as a real DevOps enthusiastic with somewhat more Ops than Dev knowledge.I'm always interested in taking on new challenges.
