Reins of Hope is a therapeutic riding organization that works with disabled children and adults. Volunteers lead horses or walk with disabled riders to assure their safety.

Assist my husband to buy, remodel and sell distressed homes, I can hang drywall, basic electrical, basic plumbing, I can sweat pipes, install appliances, hang cabinets,strip wood floors, remove, strip and finish woodwork, remove and install windows,tear off roofing and re-shingle,level flooring using jacks, hang wall paper and paint.We recycle and reuse as much as possible to keep as many original characteristics of the home as possible. We do not remove support walls to insure structure stability or purchase homes with unstable foundations.The real estate market has slowed considerably in this area, but we hope to get back into the work again soon.

An elected position, I gathered all the courage my introverted personality could find and hit the pavement to take a position that was desperately in need of improvements and upgraded to the 21st century. I am responsible for 2 departments and 13 employees.My office collects over $80,000,000 in tax revenue per year via ad valeorm taxes and motor vehicle taxes. I am responsible for collecting and then distributing 75% of tax collected to taxing entities in 5 counties.We run 7 different software programs daily and I have survived 3 major operating system conversions in the past 5 years at the county.My daily responsibilities include: balancing 12 cashier drawers twice daily, reconciling all tax and motor vehicle transactions twice daily, reconcile all department deposits and bank accounts, input tax and motor vehicle collections into our finance software, collect deposits from all county departments to input into our finance software, prepare cash deposits to be collected by armored courier, trouble shoot software and hardware issues, defuse irate customers, answer questions via phone, in person or email, teach how the taxation system works to customers, explain the motor vehicle registration process to customers, record management, verify employee time using time clock system, collaborate with other department managers for deposit, payroll and AP balancing and corrections.On any given day: Distribute funds to 5 counties, hire, train, discipline and terminate employees, travel to training sessions, purchasing office supplies, distribute insurance and county policy information to staff, reconcile tax and motor vehicle funds, prepare and send reports to auditor firms for city, township, school districts, water sheds, fire districts and county, prepare and send reports to school districts, cities, townships, fire districts and counties, pay county bonds, prepare yearly budgets for 2 departments, employee evaluations, cover other areas of the office when needed.
