Responsible for day-to-day management (functional control) and expansion of the R&D intranet, and related tasks/workflows. Responsible for describing, storing, and facilitate finding and reuse of various types of valuable knowledge such as reports and experiment data. User engagement and training, improvement projects and data/knowledge migration. Focus on user demands and wishes, also in relation to knowledge processes.Next to that also responsible for the various information services for the R&D community. Scientific literature databases, chemistry and product/trend databases and related tools. Advice, problem solving, expansion, training, scouting etc.

I work as information specialist for Corporate R&D. Responsible for finding and using the right information: scientific and patent publications, competitive intelligence, business insights. I'm also responsible for my departments' intranet site, built in Sharepoint. I participate(d) in several projects and tasks on information services and systems, knowledge management and document management subjects. I try both to support our existing customers with our services and tools, and also be on the lookout for new chances. Colleagues experience my added value and advice when it comes to various topics regarding: competitive (patent) intelligence, information management, literature and patent searching, literature delivery, content and document management and information tools such as Copernic and Mendeley. I am the key contact person for various databases, programs and intranetsites. With these and other tasks I further develop my own skills in a customer oriented way and aid my department's strategy along the way.

I worked as a librarian at the Eindhoven location of the Police Academy. A versatile job in which I was the access point to different kinds of information, both for students and teachers. It was my job to manage the library and it's catalogue for the Eindhoven location. I trained students in how to use the various sources of information that were at their disposal. The catalogue, physical and digital library collections, databases and other information systems. Blackboard, as a digital learning environment was an important item in which I have experience.This also meant an advisary role to the local teaching team when it comes to information, knowledge and the library. I was also the site liaison for Kennisnetwerk (Knowledge Network), a national department of the Police Academy.

Graduation project for my study IDM. Gemeente Eindhoven, Dienst WZI (Welzijn, Zorg en Inkomen) A research focussing on the use and benefits of the various channels and platforms of internal communication. These services were to be used for communication around some big upcoming changes at WZI.After my graduation project, I was asked to do another research project for WZI as well.
