Responsible for leading or coordinating projects aimed at saving mainly African wildlife. (Co-)organizing transports of animals, for example rhinos, from Europe to Africa and coordinating efforts to save the rarest mammal on the planet - the northern white rhino. Prior to joining the zoo I had worked as a journalist focused on the environment and nature and I still occassionaly contribute to media with my stories. Apart from European countries, I have reported from Brazil, Kenya, Rwanda etc. I have been occasionally lecturing on nature conservation or journalistic and communication skills (including environmental journalism and online media). I published a book about cultural history of Novopacko, the region in the northeastern part of the Czech Republic.
