The Terror - 201810 episodes - over 160 shotsFor most of the sequences, lidar scan was provided and camera was precisely aligned to it. Shots that had no lidar available were aligned manually together. For several shots I generated low-poly geometry to be used in Nuke for projections.Majority of the shots took place on a snowy ground, which made it challenging to find suitable and usable survey points. The most difficult sequence was series of shots, where sailors played football on an ice-field. These shots were mostly shot with steadicam traveling between the sailors and involved heavy motion-blur. Another challenge were nearly 2000 frame long steadicam shots, where camera changed direction several times and rotated along Y axis more than 900 degrees.Knightfall - 20176 episodes - over 40 shotsAll cathedral or castle shots were aligned to lidar scan. Remaining shots, exterior shots in forest and aerial shots, were aligned manually to avoid any continuity errors . For some of them I generated low poly mesh to be used in Nuke for projections, mainly for snow on the ground. There were few shots that involved roto-animation of various blades, spears or arrows.
