Its flagship product, ropeginterferon alfa-2b, is a new generation PEG-interferon designed to be the purest form of interferon alpha on the market. Ropeginterferon alpha-2b is currently being explored as a potentially improved interferon therapy with less frequent dosing and a better side effect profile for several rare hematological diseases such as polycythemia vera (PV) and essential thrombocythemia (ET), each disease effecting less than 150,000 patients in the USA.PharmaEssentia plans to market and sell ropeginterferon alfa-2b around the world, including in the US.Reporting to the World-Wide CEO of Pharmaessentia, the Chief of US Commercial Operations provides the leadership, management and vision necessary to effectively establish and grow the company’s business in the US. • Develop and implement the Pharmaessentia US business strategy and financial plans, focusing on the launch of ropeginterferon alfa-2b in PV• Lead the US commercial operations to establish Pharmaessentia as a leader in myloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs), such as PV and ET• Motivate and lead a high performance management team; attract, recruit and retain required members of the team not currently in place• Lead the activities of the US commercial organization, particularly focusing on pre-launch programs, launch preparations and implementation for ropeginterferon alfa-2b• Foster relationships with key MPN stakeholders• Lead the establishment and implementation of key strategies and plans necessary for the US launch of ropeginterferon alfa-2b
