As a child and teenager, I lived abroad in countries with high numbers of refugees including Bangladesh and former Yugoslavia. I was always interested in finding ways to improve life for refugees and in 2004 I interned in Ghana for UNHCR - the UN Refugee Agency. Following this internship and my studies, until 2016, I worked as a lawyer in Amsterdam, when I gave up my job to set up a concept that could have global and long-term impact for refugees through sport. The result, which wouldn't have been reached without Isaac, Kelvin, Charlotte and many others, is KLABU. In my free time I love to listen and play music - I’ve worked as a professional DJ at weddings and corporate events to pay my bills during the start-up phase of KLABU, which was quite exhausting but also a lot of fun. Now, I have more stability. I recently married with dear Fernanda, have a strong team around me, and am 100% dedicated to KLABU and building the sports club that can change the world.We can’t do this alone.
