Jan Vrins led Guidehouse Global Energy, Sustainability & Infrastructure Segment. He was responsible for strategy, product development, client management, business development/sales, revenue, and people management for the practice. Guidehouse helps clients achieve sustainable excellence in the areas of customer/markets, operations and financial/risk/regulatory. They provide research and consulting services for companies in areas such as market structures and pricing, operational strategy, business models and partnerships, capital program management, grid modernization, energy efficiency and demand side management, emerging technologies, renewables, distributed generation, energy storage and transmission (electric and gas).

Led Accenture’s Utilities Management Consulting practice in North America from September 2010 to August 2012. Had responsibility for strategy, sales, revenue and people management for the practice, which was recognized externally as a tier-one utilities practice and viewed internally as a strategic asset. Prior to that led Accenture’s Utilities Process and Innovation Practice (which came over through the acquisition of the George Group). Most recently (FY13) Jan Vrins was the Client Account Lead (CAL) for 3 major Utility accounts for Accenture in NA. Had direct and full account leadership and responsibility for these strategic accounts, responsible for developing and maintaining executive relationships, sales/business development, delivery oversight, project and account financials (full P&L), and team management.

Jan Vrins is a Managing Director in the Energy practice of BearingPoint, responsible for the global utilities practice. He has overall responsibility for strategy and planning, go to market strategy, market development, client management, financials and human resources. He also has responsibility for specific strategic accounts in the Utilities segment.He has a broad experience in (re)structuring of organizations, program and project management, management of change processes, (re)desiging of business processes, business process improvement, IT Strategy Development and Planning, eBusiness implementation, CRM and Billing Solutions, Supply Chain Management, ERP System Implementation (SAP and Oracle) and System Integration.
