Launched on the 24th November 2020, Shop Small Glasgow responded to the effects of the pandemic which has upended small businesses all over the world. My partner and I set out on a mission to create a platform that would put a spotlight on local brands and preserve the culture and character of our communities. It has grown rapidly; amounting to over 2000 followers and featuring many independent makers and sellers as part of a virtual window shopping experience on Instagram. The idea represents everything I stand for and care about, so I take great pride in the project as the platform continues to grow and connect people with independent makers and sellers right on their doorstep.

Designer & maker of handmade objects on a wee scale with a colourful and funky twist.During our time we designed and manufactured a number of products from Jesmonite or 3D printing techniques. We sold these products successfully on our in-house designed website, at The Crafters Emporium on Oxford's high street and at various markets in Scotland and England.

As part of a small team with only the director, my role was essential in the development and delivery of a project for Dunton Hot Springs; a luxury resort in the Colorado mountains.The unique project looked to periodically renovate the numerous buildings that made up the estate, from guest cabins to the restaurant, bar and hot springs.From concept through to implementation, I produced and put together client presentations, and drawing packs (concept through to construction) leased with and instructed contractors, as well as carried out onsite snagging to complete the projects. Due to the complexity of the phased delivery, the project required experienced Vectorworks, team leadership and organisational skills. This allowed us to seamlessly deliver countless presentations and drawing packages to a high standard, coordinate various contractors and suppliers across different time zones, and more importantly, keep the resort open and seamlessly functioning during the works.The project required a huge amount of bespoke joinery/millwork. I really enjoyed developing highly detailed drawings and then working closely with workshops to produce samples to deliver high-quality custom furniture items and bespoke fitted building elements.

Refurbishment of Grade A showroom and shopfront (construction - handover stage).Production of scale construction pack CAD drawings, preparation of construction contracts and AI’s, organising client meetings/reviews, product and materials sourcing, liaison with suppliers and contractors, periodic independent site visits, and finally the completion of a snagging list for sign off and handover.**Kimpton Frankfurt, a new luxury boutique hotel (Concept design - Developed design stage).Initial research, concept visualisations, preparing of scale CAD drawings and presentations for the test room and test bathroom for client sign-off.**Carlton Hill - refurbishment of a 6-bed gothic style, period house in London (Survey - Tender stage)Obtaining digital survey quotes, organising received survey drawings, determining functional and spatial requirements, building models and material mood boards, and partaking in contractor interviews. More recently developing drawings from concept through to technical design/tender.**Kilchoan Estate, a collection of new and refurbished homes situated in the Scottish Highlands (Survey - Tender stage)Carrying out building surveys and issuing existing drawing packs, applying knowledge of design, construction procedures, planning and building regulations, and building materials, drafting up detailed drawings for bespoke kitchens and bathrooms, rendering/visualising concepts for new builds, drafting up data sheets and schedules.

During my time I worked on several relevant jobs including:- Stage and AV assembly/disassembly for Jess Glynne @ Bitts Park, Carlisle. - Takedown for Catfish and the Bottlemen @ SSE Hydro Glasgow.- Manually moving filming equipment for on-location shooting for the 'Eurovision' film in Edinburgh Scotland.- Constructing scaffold grandstands and large LED display screens @ 2019 Solheim Cup (Golf) in Scotland.

At the end of my internship, I exhibited my images as well as a short film which captured life in the vibrant city.
