👋Hi, I’m Jamie, an Innovative Collaborator who thrives on change, new ideas, & leading teams. I’m a business leader, marketer, entrepreneur, husband, and father of two beautiful girls. Currently, I serve as the Vice President of Market Development for a media company, specializing in content marketing & brand awareness for the life science industry.🏋I’m a athlete and admitted gym rat who enjoys weightlifting, running, skiing, & kayaking. Anything to stay active & healthy. 🎓My journey into marketing & sales took an unconventional path. Despite graduating from PSU with two engineering degrees and starting down the path of design. I discovered early on that I was too extraverted to stay behind a computer screen. I've had the privilege of learning from organizations such as Rubbermaid, Dräger, Butler Technologies, & my current role at Life Science Connect. 🤝To get to where I am, I owe it to great leaders who saw more in me than an engineer. I was given the opportunity to move into management, receive leadership training, & earn my master’s in project management. That was the springboard to leading teams. I was blessed to head teams in both the US & Germany while traveling the world. This led to my passion for building teams. Along the way, I took a side road from corporate life and invested in a multi-unit franchise where I developed the Pittsburgh market. That’s where I found my love for marketing. I was enthralled with marketing’s ability to reach & influence people. I conducted a national study on Social Media which earned me a spot on the Franchise Advisory Council. This allowed me to work on national advertising campaigns using major platforms such as Facebook, Google, Spotify & YouTube.🎤I've been privileged to speak at several national conferences. A standout moment was in 2018 when I followed the Keynote speaker from Google, sharing insights on digital marketing. (no pressure) I was voted as one of the top presenters at the conference. Next on my bucket list: a TED Talk. Equally creative 🎨 & logical, I believe that to successfully lead teams you need to deeply care about people, be inclusive, transparent, and over-communicate. If you think you’re communicating enough, you aren’t. Trust people, give them a vision, explain ‘WHY’, and watch them do great things!👏I'm super proud of the teams I've worked with.
