Volunteer Victims' Advocates provide advocacy services to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking on SAFE of Columbia County's 24 Hour Help Line- empower our community to live safe and healthy lives, free from abuse- acquire 40 hours of domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking basic advocacy training and certifications required by SAFE of Columbia County- Effective interviewing, listening and crisis intervention skills Community resources and the availability of those resources. Case management principles and best practices Trauma informed principles and care- Perform risk assessment and shelter screening- Assist callers with safety planning, peer support, and information and referrals
