I am a certified Underground Storage Tank (UST) and Above Ground Storage Tank (AST) inspector. I inspect USTs and ASTs as well as perform hydrostatic testing for BWI Airport (BWI) and Martin State Airport (Martin). In addition to my inspector duties, I directly supervise and lead several employees, and manage other contractors on a daily basis to complete assigned tasks. Tasks include inspection and maintenance, data flow tracking, and responding to alarms associated with the sanitary lines of BWI and Martin State Airport. I also lead deicing events at BWI where the fluid used to deice planes is collected, maintained, treated, and disposed of in an environmentally sound way and in compliance with state requirements; perform NOAA snow readings; sample for National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) operations; perform Illicit Discharge Detection and Elimination (IDDE) inspections and sample testing for BWI, Martin State Airport, and various State Highway Administration locations, the results of which are reported to the Maryland Department of the Environment; Inspect and aid in the procurement and replacement of storm filters and other storm water structures; compose reports for management; communicate verbally and in writing with internal and external customers; complete work orders; and create and maintain budgets for the sanitary system, USTs, ASTs, IDDEs, and storm water at both BWI and Martin State airport.

Provided answers to technical water testing and water chemistry questions for internal and external customers; provided trouble-shooting water chemistry for industrial water treatment (primarily boiler and cooling systems), residential and commercial water conditioning, food processing and beverage production, swimming pool/spa maintenance, and municipal water and wastewater treatment; Conducted product and water sample testing in the lab using an array of lab ware to include digital scales, pH probes, multi-parameter meters, magnetic stir plates, burettes and other glassware; Ensured chemistry methods and procedures where in accordance with Standard Methods for the Examination of Water and Wastewater, APHA, Washington, DC, and/or American Society for Testing and Materials, ASTM, Philadelphia, PA or other proprietary chemistry methods developed by Taylor Technologies; Provided demonstrations of water testing to peers, at tradeshow exhibitions, and for educational videos.
