Executive Assistant To The Director Human Services
CurrentDouglas County Department of Human Services supports people and families by connecting them to government assistance programs and life-changing resources. The Human Services Department is the largest Department in the Douglas County government, with approximately 130 staff members. • Acts as the sole administrative assistant to the Executive Director of Douglas County Human Services.• Manage, coordinate, and maintain a frequently changing calendar of meetings both with internal and external agency partners. • Take the initiative to confirm upcoming meetings as far ahead of time as possible, anticipate issues, and take appropriate actions.• Manage changing priorities to meet the needs and expectations of the Director's interactions with other elected and appointed officials.• Proactively keep the Director well informed of upcoming commitments and responsibilities while appropriately conveying follow-up details.• Create professional, management-level presentations, documents, agendas, meetings minutes, and other board materials. • Coordinate the details of all significant departmental events, including and not limited to holiday celebrations and staff appreciation events. • Code and process monthly expense reports. • Miscellaneous responsibilities include ordering furniture, office supplies, submitting work orders, and being the main point of contact for all building maintenance.
