Mobile/ Static Security for US Government contract.

Responsible for Diplomatic protection of Department of State dignitaries as they performed their duties in Herat Afghanistan. Tactical Commander in support of motorcade operations, mission/route planning, team training, and maintenance for items such as vehicles, mission related gear and weapons. Worked on Advance Teams and cross-trained in all PSS positions including AIC, Shift Leader and Driver.

Charged with instructing the Afghan Border Patrol in a 5 week course in weapons marksmanship, safety, handling, maintenance, and live fire exercises with the AMD-69 and Smith and Wesson 9mm Pistol. Provide instruction for small unit tactics, ambushes movement to contact with the enemy, patrols both mounted and dismounted from vehicles, and convoy operations,. In addition provide instruction for basic vehicle operation as well as maintenance and basic repair. During week 5 students receive instruction and perform live fire exercises with a variety of specialty weapons: RPG-7, NSV Heavy Machine Gun, GP-25 Grenade Launcher, PKM, RPK, and Shotgun.  Selected as the Instructor of the cycle by Afghan Border Patrol Class 07-10 at FOB Lonestar by students and peers alike based on my instructing abilities, competency, and enthusiasm. Quick Reaction Force Vehicle Commander for movements to ranges.

Charged with instructing the ANA in the transition from the AK-47 to the M-16 to include weapons issue, safety and condition codes, introduction to the M-16, firing positions, fundamentals of marksmanship, weapons handling, zeroing, weapons maintenance, and POI development. Oversee two days of live fire, consisting of zero, familiarization fire of the different positions, pre-qualification, and qualification. In addition to the M-16, also provide instruction for the M-240B, M-249, M-2 50 cal. machine gun, and the MK-19. Act as a facilitator, using interactive discussions and "hands-on" approaches to help trainees learn and apply concepts. To encourage collaboration in solving problems, direct trainees to work in groups to discuss and solve problems together. Observe and evaluate performance and potential using assessment methods. If necessary, provide additional assistance in areas in which an individual needs help. Charged with all aspects of instruction of weapons (M16, M4, M2, 40G, M249, M203) fundamentals for the Afghanistan National Army, Camp Blackhorse/Kabul Afghanistan. Additional duties include but are not limited to: Range Coach, Range Safety Officer, Medic, Ammo Tech, Range Security, and coordinating live fire exercises with Coalition Forces/ Afghan Army Command. Established crew served weapon curriculum for the: M249, M240G, and M2. As well as the M203 Grenade Launcher. Armory Custodian for all training weapons of the 201st Brigade. Provided on-site security for the relief effort to rebuild the infrastructure of the affected areas after Hurricane Ike and Gustav. Provided physical security for the Commanding Officer of Camp Ashraf, Foreign dignitaries and multiple high ranking officers from all branches of the Armed Forces. Enforced over 300 hours of internal security, as NCO in charge of various vehicle and personnel entry control points to a Multi-National Forces-Iraq sensitive security site.Successfully conducted over 80 counter-IED/route clearance missions for the entire area of operations.
