Are you looking for young, passionate, and experienced teacher for your school district? If so, then I am your guy! I have shown that I am person that wants to make a difference in children’s lives through sports and fitness. In the summer of 2019 I will be looking for a teaching job in physical education or health.I have been involved with sports for as long as I can remember. When I was in junior high and high school I was involved in baseball, basketball, and football all six years. Also I did track for five years. This is when I realized that physical education was the right area for me. Then I went to Iowa Central Community College where I was on the varsity basketball team. It was a unique experience to balance sports, school, and a social life from August to March. To some people that sounds like a lot of time but I loved every second of it. Now I am at Iowa State where I am involved as a full time student, Ogden Football/ Basketball Coach, and a member of the Physical Education Club. On the side I also do some umpiring for Little League baseball. Having the full time credits at Iowa State and being involved has helped with my prioritization skills and organizational skills. The coaching jobs have given me experience of being the leader and teacher of a basketball team. From developing my own practice plans to forming positive relationships with my players. The P.E. Club has kept me involved with volunteer opportunities. I enjoyed working in the Special Olympics volleyball over the past two years. These athletes have a lot of passion and energy that transfers back to me. It is truly a humbling experience. One of my favorite things in the summer is to do the Little League umpiring. I love to see the improvements of the kids as the season goes on.I believe all of these things show my drive and passion for teaching youth. Nothing is better than developing positive relationships that can last a lifetime and possibly change a student’s life!
