In this role I oversaw operations for shipping and receiving in 500,000 sq. ft. Dry Grocery Warehouse. Lead a team of eight salary Supervisors and over 250+ hourly full time employees distributed through 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts. With Team Lead collaboration, created and put in place new screening and onboarding procedures, for all new hires, to help positively impact retention, moral, and associate engagement.Improved 2nd shift receiving team production by nearly 50% with no change in labor hours. Studied existing hourly production schedules and executed positive changes which contributed to a decrease of OSHA recordable injuries by nearly 50% during observed period.Worked closely with the Transportation department to reevaluate all retail location delivery schedules. Assisted in the elimination of nearly 1,600 annual grocery deliveries with no impact to operations.

In this role I was a direct adviser to the Distribution Center Director, Warehouse Managers, and Team Leaders on all matters concerning company policy, procedures, and compliance with state and federal laws. I was responsible for positive associate relations, policy instruction, conflict management, etc. for nearly 800 full time associates. Drafted correction action/termination documents and defended the company in unemployment hearings with a 98% success rate. I directed Health Care, retirement, and company giving campaign meetings at retail locations and Distribution Center. Instructed internal management courses to rising star employees within the company. While in this role, the company aquired 29 grocery retail locations in the greater Chattanooga area. I was chosen to help organize and supervise the onboarding/orientation for the acquisition of these locations. This included project development, system setup/testing, and implementation of designed processes. While remotely stationed in Chattanooga/North Georgia, for seven weeks, I supervised a team of hourly Human Relations Coordinators. We completed the onboarding and hiring of over 1,600 associates during this time.

In this role, I worked in the Dry, HBC, Produce, Perishable, and Freezer warehouses covering when other Team Leaders went on vacation. I was responsible for overseeing the shipping and receiving operations. Each warehouse had unique challenges and varied opportunities to develop good working relationships with different groups of employees. I supervised and led diverse employee groups ranging from 15 to over 250 employees.
