I am a Parks and Recreation intern at the City of Douglasville, GA, where I contribute to the planning, execution, and evaluation of various community events and programs. With the help of a diverse and collaborative team of staff, volunteers, and vendors, I ensure the events are safe, enjoyable, and accessible for all participants and stakeholders. Some of the events I have worked on include the annual Chili Cook Off, the Halloween Festival, and the Veterans Day Parade.I have also pursued my Bachelor of Science degree in Sport Management at the University of West Georgia (UWG), with a passion for the sports industry. I have gained valuable experience and skills in event operations and logistics, communication, and interpersonal skills through my previous roles at the Atlanta Braves and the UWG Athletics Department. I have supported the delivery of major sporting events, such as the MLB All-Star Game, the NCAA Division II Football Championship, and the Peach Belt Conference Basketball Tournament. I am motivated by the opportunity to create memorable and impactful experiences for sports fans and communities.
