About Jared Brewer

I am an Enterprise Data and Systems Integration Architect at Lockheed Martin where I leverage my experience in data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence solutions to enable enterprise capabilities that drive cultural adoption. My big data exposure stems from my formal education my Master of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from Florida Institute of Technology. My thesis focuses on computational fluid dynamics and methodologies to gain the maximum amount of information from the minimum amount of data.My expertise include model-based systems engineering (MBSE), enterprise-scale core process improvement, engineering data architecture, and artificial intelligence. I am passionate about the architectural development and strategic deployment of innovative technologies that enable digital transformation through integration. I continue to pilot and lead architectural efforts that utilize every tool available from augmented reality work environments to AI-enabled solution spaces which establish data-driven ecosystems that enhance the accessibility, compatibility, and traceability within model-enabled systems-of-systems (SoS).

I serve as a defense contractor working with the Trident II D5 Submarine Launched Intercontinental Ballistic Nuclear Missile System. Working with a nuclear system requires that I maintain a clearance with both the DoD and DoE and occasionally within our ally nations classifications as well. Specifically, I support the MK6 inertial/stellar guidance system by compiling and correlating flight test data to identify and characterize potential sources of error. Identification of error in the flight system is then accounted for via inputs in the Thrust Vectoring Control (TVC) system or any of the multiple independently targetable reentry vehicles (MIRV).I am a senior team member of the Telemetry Acquisition and Presentation Software group where we collect live down-link data and process it in-flight as our weapon system leaves the water and transits the atmosphere. We process the data and display it in real-time while dictating the continuously streaming events to highly select groups of spectators ranging from doctors and CEO's to US Army and Air Force Generals, US and UK Naval Captains, and Admiral Benedict, himself. As team lead for all Pacific Range missions and operations, I am responsible for 5-10 team members with tasks that include planning, access requests, clearance/background checks, badge authorization, private and government asset management, and classified shipment coordination with transmittal. I am also in charge of training and certification new team members during actual launch scenarios. I am also a founding member of the Model Based Simulation Engineering group where we develop extremely comprehensive and dynamic simulations of every aspect of the weapon system including the submarine, fire control, navigational inputs, star catalogs, and the missile itself. We also focus a large amount effort into the ocean states, atmospheric models and gravitational anomalies.
