About Jared Buckley
I started my teaching career as a special education teacher where I received my bachelor’s degree from Weber State University. I believe that every child has the ability to succeed. I also believe that education is more than just curriculum and assessments, it includes educating the whole child. I believe in creating a healthy environment that meets all the needs of each student and their families. This is the foundation of education. If students do not have this foundation, they cannot learn. In order to create this solid foundation, we need support from administrators, teachers, students, and families. This is why I chose to further my education and receive my Master’s degree in Educational Leadership. I believe that students and teachers should feel safe at school. School should be a place students feel welcomed the moment they walk in, accepted for who they are, and loved by everyone. When students feel safe, they start to build meaningful relationships, learn to take risks, further develop their leadership skills, and learn the skills to help them become active meaningful members of society. This safe learning environment helps students to grow and mature emotionally, intellectually, physically, and socially.
