“Heavy is the head that wears the crown”.(Prince Henry lV). Being successful and goal driven is important but being able to push past obstacles is what makes it worth it. Throughout my life, I’ve always wanted to make a change for people. I knew I wanted to get into the medical field and it’s always been a dream of mine to attend a great University that would offer so many amazing opportunities.Studying at Howard University , I’ve found so many opportunities that have made me the person I am today. I can humbly say that I have the privilege of serving on The Residence Life Royal Court as the Inaugural Mr. Axis for the 2023-2024 academic school year. Using my platform A Community That Reciprocates, to help in-gage Axis residents to participate with campus life and build lifelong friendships. I plan to have a Networking night where I help residents build resumes, start linked-ins and prepare them for interviews. Residents will connect with each other to build future business relationships . My name is Jared Sheffield, a junior radiation therapy major from New York. I soon hope to gain some hands-on experience at a Radiation Therapy facility, to further my knowledge on my major and future career. I hope to meet people who are in the same field so we can connect.
