Jared has been the sole owner and operator of Cross & Company since 2008. Jared joined the accounting firm of Evancic Perrault Robertson in Port Alberni where he started his accounting career. He obtained his designation as a Certified General Accountant (C.G.A.) in 1999 and began working with a local Nanaimo C.G.A. firm. Later in 2002 he became partner in that firm. In 2005 he joined Greg Sabo to form the partnership of Sabo, Cross & Co., serving Nanaimo, Parksville and Port Alberni. In 2008 Jared went out on his own to form his own firm, Cross & Company. With almost 20 years of experience Jared is very knowledgeable in tax planning for all types and sizes of businesses, he assist clients in day to day operation management as well as long term goal setting and achievement. He also is very well versed in personal tax planning for Individuals, Proprietorships and Partnerships. Jared provides specialized tax planning regarding incorporation, income splitting, corporate reorganizations, succession planning, the purchase and sale of businesses, and estate planning. Jared is active in the community including the Nanaimo Minor Hockey Association and the Nanaimo Minor Baseball Association. He has also sat on the Board of Directors for the Vancouver Island Symphony in the past. Jared supports the local Vancouver Island University by employing many of their Business Administration graduates.
