Led a team of, at the most, 10 baristas to serve coffee for the community and be that ‘second home’ for the customer. Make schedules, complete orders, complete inventory of product, and lead baristas to success in customer connections and beverage accuracy. As a leader, I ensured that the customer was at the forefront of our team’s mission. It was commonplace for a regular customer to approach the kiosk, and their order would already be complete even before walking up to the counter. As for new customers, I ensured that my team went above and beyond to new customers feel as if they have been coming to the same store for years.As for Safeway, I would work extra hours to help support store when needed. For example, I participating in marketing for Safeway at Oregon State University football games, meeting fans and handing out product. During the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, grocery shelves began to go empty. I stepped up and supported multiple departments around the store, including General Merchandising, Dairy, Grocery, and Checking to make sure members of our community were able to get the food they needed for their families during a very confusing public emergency.
