Role focused on the financial oversight for the North America media buying and creative advertising spending for all brands (multi-billion dollar budget). This involved day-to-day interaction with business unit finance (forecast and budgeting) as well as with media Agency of Record (AORs) and Creative Advertising agencies. The work included policy development, media project auditing, and the management of a team.

Role focused on undertaking analysis to support strategic decision makings of C-suite level. My responsbilites included the semi-annual calculation of the Weighted Average Cost of Capital (WACC); semiannual collection, analysis and reporting on company-wide initiative portfolio and the linkage to sustainable growth; the annual collection, analysis and reporting on acquisition economics; annual review of peer competitors at the category level - full review of the financial statement and notes to the financial statements to calculate metrics for comparision purposes.

Role focused on the development and implementation of the Miscellaenous Sales & Receivable solution from legacy systems to SAP. In the short 9 month timeframe, the European solution was modified, configured, tested and implemented. I oversaw the training of key and end users at over 40 sites in the US. During this time, I was also responsible for the transition of the remainings Iams Company General Ledger components into SAP. The nature of my role required teaming with other SAP implementation teams (Affilitate Accounting, Market Support Activitiies, Sales Research & Admin, Capital, Treasury, General Ledger and Sales). The final piece of my role was to transition the solution ownership after implementation to the service center in Costa Rica.

Beyond my close the books responsibilities, I provided Accounting expertise to the various businesses, included Fabric & Home Care, Paper Products, Health Care and Pharmacueticals. Functionally, I provided Accounting expertise to Central Cost, Capital, Logistics, Cross-border and Affiliate Accounting.

Responsible for costing of orders across all of the lines of business; monthly centralized Canada sub-ledger closing (streamlined the close process by 25%); provided business support to profit and cost forecaster for Canada TDC actuals for all lines of business.

Daily cash investments; reconciliations of cash and checks; inventory and audit of the deployed parking meters in throughout the city; rollforward of economic development loans; miscellaneous tasks.
