Associate Director of Engineering with teams developing automated solutions including special test equipment (STE) across the East and Central U.S. regions totaling $200M annually and 150+ team members. Our scope of work includes the staffing and oversight of Senior Managers, Integrated Product Team Leads (IPTLs) and the associated IPTs (i.e., engineering teams). The collective organization is responsible for cost, schedule, and execution of requirements generation, design, and implementation followed by integration, verification, and validation of test systems to support a wide range of defense systems and products. The delivered test systems is frequently utilized for engineering development of new products, design verification, qualification, and safety of flight of new products, and ultimately fully automated testing for deployment to manufacturing facilities. The range of disciplines spans from systems engineering, electrical interconnect and printed circuit card design, automated test software in multi-language, mechanical, and firmware engineers who all serve as a turnkey organization in support of multiple Strategic Business Units.

Held various levels of engineering positions designing electrical and test software solutions followed by Integrated Product Team Lead (IPTL) positions with progressively more effort to manage and execute. Served as a section manager in two different divisions in addition to the direct program execution to expand on leadership capability and skill sets.Technical capabilities across this time frame include printed circuit card design, FPGA VHDL, test consoles, and interface test adapters (ITAs) in support of a wide range of deliverable defense products. The collective portfolio of designs spans a range of industry standard interfaces and technology including PCI, PCIe, VME, Ethernet, RS-232, RS-422, RS-485, GPIB, USB, 1553, HSDIO, JTAG, ScanWorks, WindRiver ICE, LVDS, LVTTL, and PECL. The automation of test systems utilized test software development environments including LabVIEW, CVI, TestStand, C++, C#, Pascal, and Basic. All of these various solutions supported the development, integration, and ultimately factory testing of prime deliverable products ranging from radar / radio-frequency (RF) products, Electro-Optical Infrared (EO/IR) products, trusted mission computers for various airborne platforms, satellite communications (SATCOM) including protected communications, and network centric products for battlefield connectivity.
