As an undergraduate student at URI, I diligently studied and worked on campus to learn and earn a Bachelor’s degree in microbiology. I apply logical reasoning, attention to detail and communication with peers to achieve a complex understanding of the multi-faceted world of microbiology and science in general. I also worked on campus during this time in food service for my peers, applying a strong work ethic to keep myself diligent and responsible. I am valued for my compassion, willingness to work with a team and sincere dedication to what I do.

  Receives, handles, sorts and prepares large quantities of blood donor and hospital patient samples for numerous types and combinations of tests, such as Chagas disease and Babesiosis, nucleic acid amplification tests and antibody screens. Responsibilities include what is mentioned above as well as maintaining a high level of professionalism in terms of patient confidentiality and sanitization of the various machines used.
