Collected and processed seed from 106 native prairie, wetland and woodland plant species valued at over $50,000 on District sites. Maintained seed collection and processing logs in Microsoft Excel spreadsheets.Coordinated volunteer seed collection workdays 1-2 times/week, and attended brush clearing work days with high school biology classes. Improved plant identification skills by participating in botanical inventories, monitoring rare plants through the Plants of Concern Program, and monitoring invasive species (i.e., garlic mustard). Participated in 5 prescribed woodland and prairie burns. Helped mix seed for small and large-scale seeding projects.Conducted research on the District’s herbarium project, and created species profiles for seed collection & processing manual.
