As engineering manager at Hatfield, I am primarily responsible for managing the drafting and engineering team, maintaining the document control system, providing a layer of quality control on engineering prints, and coordinating with the production floor on scheduling and production quantities to meet outstanding orders day to day.

This entailed part and tooling logistics, onsite training for the vendors, and the development of production and inspection processes at the vendors. - Mold Preparation Supervisor, Airfoils Division - The second assignment was supervising the "Clean and Cap" department. This department performs final preparation and cleaning of all the ceramic molds immediately prior to being cast in metal. I was responsible for coordinating all aspects of the area including supply chain, scheduling, maintenance, process improvement, and quality control. - Wire and Small Rod Hot Rolling Process Engineer, Special Metals Division - Assignment three had me working in a rolling mill which processes super alloy billets into wire (0.25in to 1.00in diameter) and small rod (1.00in to 3.00in diameter). I focused on the development of a training program with the intent of bringing the floor operations team up to speed on a newly installed mill control system, helping reduce cobbles (material escaping from machines while running), and proactive troubleshooting of floor equipment. - Cold Drawn Wire Process Engineer, Special Metals Division - My final assignment was to a facility which breaks down the wire produced at the previous facility into much finer strands (as small as 0.005 inches in diameter). While there, I worked with our tooling vendor to improve the throughput and tool life in the fine wire area. I also helped film training videos in the cold-rolled sheet area. Show less
