After 23 years at McDermott Will & Emery, I retired from the Firm on August 1st. 2017 to form Delaware Place Advisory Services, LLC, for the purpose of providing consulting and expert witness services. Although I will no longer practice law, I am available for consultation on matters involving employee stock ownership plans (ESOPs), family businesses, and corporate governance. I have considerable experience as an expert witness in federal and state court litigation involving the responsibilities of fiduciaries and their advisors, and I anticipate continuing to accept expert witness assignments in similar matters. Having served on the boards of both family owned businesses and ESOP companies, I am also considering joining the board of directors or advisory board of a private company, preferably an employee-owned or family business.
