Creativity is a powerful equalizer and asset; creativity allows you to assess any situation from a myriad of viewpoints and pull on skills acquired from seemingly disparate situations, applying them to whatever task you are trying to overcome. The summation of experience from varied fields of study and topics will always provide an advantage over more experience in a single field.Transferable Skills:From as far back as I can remember I have been fascinated by computers and technology. I may never have graduated with a degree in a related field, but as a passion, I have continued to study and master skills in hardware and software. Technology, being the backbone of any organization, is developing at a rapid pace and in order to avoid stagnation, it is necessary to follow trends and never stop learning.Leadership:There are many types of leadership and the one I respect most of all is to lead by example. Being the loudest person in the room neither makes you a leader nor does it make you correct. However, by assessing your values and living them through your decisions and interactions, it is possible to have a profound effect on those around you, encouraging them to make better, more informed decisions; to me, that is the pinnacle of leading by example.Maximizing:Repetitive tasks are usually those that have not been maximized so they are the most efficient. Productivity should not be measured in the time spent completing tasks but in the volume and quality of tasks completed; as well, the development of processes for use by other members of a team will raise overall productivity.Adaptability (Unicorn Lover):Methods that are tried and true in a workplace environment get the job done, true. And workplace culture should not be altered for the sake of change. However, doing things because that is how they have always been done and failing to harness adaptability is a great way to become stagnant. As the world develops, so too must the workforce. By utilizing adaptability unforeseen problems become rapid solutions, rather than operation halting roadblocks. Adaptability also allows you to be proactive and pivot on short notice to circumvent oncoming issues.
