In this role I lead a multi-geo team tasked with moving from manual testing to end-to-end automation for driver performance benchmarking and nightly integration. Supporting next-gen platforms and CPUs on: Windows, Linux and ESXi.This was achieved by developing test tools, platform \& device telemetry tools, test cases and a custom automation framework (Python). The system was implemented such that it was able to automatically change the deployed OS, update platform and device firmware, run tests, re-run any failed test for verification, analyze results, and email stakeholders a detailed report. After implementing this the team was not only able to improve throughput by 1.5 weeks. But also, able to save around $100,000 each quarter through more efficient use of development platforms.Along with the automation framework, the team also developed analysis web tools (Dash) that allowed for more detailed and custom analysis over the automated reports. Insights gained from the tool led to driver optimizations that resulted in up-to 90% performance gains for certain workloads.In this role I worked closely with product architects on path-finding efforts, investigating areas for performance gain, as well as assessing the viability of new technologies and products. I also worked with OS providers (Microsoft, VMWare, RHEL) to address and fix issues with their products prior to their GA release.

Led a small validation / tools team, while also providing a maintenance role for legacy products.Developed an automated test framework (C#) with accompanying test cases that provided test coverage for multiple device-driver installers, e.g., Graphics, Chipset, USB3.Developed tools for automated UI localization testing (C#), enabling a geo-distributed team of language experts.Maintained Intel’s integrated graphics Installer (C++). Providing fixes for bugs and security vulnerabilities.

Inherited and expanded the nightly integration team for Intel’s consumer soft-RAID driver.By utilizing a fully automated testing framework (C++, DTM, Batch) and designing a test-suitethat was able to run in less than 12 hours yet still cover 72% of code paths the team was able to reduce merged bugs by ≈35%.Developed storage performance tests and analysis tools to provide early indicators of potential performance issues.

Implemented automated test cases (C#) for storage and RAID drivers.Designed and implemented automated OS deployment and firmware update tools for thevalidation team, saving 25-50 man-hours a day for the team.
