Jared Libby is a journalist in the higher education community.º Before he began delving into the higher education community, Jared had the privilege of creating an awareness campaign regarding the homeless population in Reno. Jared, along with two of his peers, constructed advertisements, billboards, and commercials for people to witness their terrible living conditions. They also proposed a solution to allocate funds for homeless shelters through the tourism industry. It is a project that he is deeply proud of.º Jared has aspirations to work for magazines like IGN and Game Informer. He thinks they are at the pinnacle for pieces involving cutting edge technology, and investigating the effects that this technology will have on society greatly fascinates him. He is an excellent writer of long form narration, and feels that his ability to write will blend well with stories emanating from gaming and developing technology communities. He is also a technology enthusiast, and has a terrific on-screen presence.º In his personal life, Jared was a service member of the Nevada Army National Guard. He had attained the rank of Specialist, and with that, a pay grade of E-4. His unit, the 609th Combat Engineer Company, has been activated twice. They were called to assist local law enforcement when the Little Valley Fire burned down 23 homes in 2016. Their second activation saw them in Lemmon Valley in 2017, when severe flooding had destroyed over 60 homes. Through his time in the military, Jared has learned the significance of working together to achieve a common goal. It has disciplined him both personally and professionally.When he's not busy, Jared enjoys playing the drums, video games, and going to concerts with his friends. He truly believes that life becomes happier with the more human connections you make.
