I am a seasoned nurse working in a community hospital Medical/Surgical/Cardiac Telemetry/Pediatric unit. At Saint Louise Med-Surg-Peds (MSP), I take care of any patient who isn't on a vent, pressor, giving birth or in surgery. I don't just pass meds; I care for the patient, their history and situation, look at the big picture and the little details, and as often as not I catch the signs of problems big and small -before they become emergent. My goal is to be the nurse good enough to take care of someone's mom with compassionate skill.

As an RN, was responsible for care of post-surgical and other patients transferred from hospital. I monitored my patient’s physical, mental and emotional status and enacted appropriate interventions. As the most highly trained nurse on staff, I was responsible for assessing, determining disposition, and documenting on any patient in the facility during serious health events. I directed and monitored unlicensed staff while providing guidance and education for less experienced nursing staff.

Medical-Surgical-TelemetryAs a new-grad RN, was responsible for care of up to 5 acutely ill in a 45-bed Med-Surg-Tele unit with a diverse patient population. I was responsible for assessing and documenting physical condition, and administering appropriate interventions. I Collaborated with Respiratory, Laboratory, Pharmacy, and Physicians to improve patient care.
