About Jared Mackenzie
I have been immersing myself in the study of vehicle dynamics for the past two years through my involvement in the RIT Racing Formula SAE Team as a student at the Rochester Institute of Technology. I was elected as the team's Vehicle Dynamics Associate Engineer for the 2021-2022 season and Vehicle Dynamics Lead Engineer for the 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 seasons. As a part of the team's vehicle dynamics group, I have gained extensive experience with data processing in MATLAB, as well as vehicle modeling and simulation through programs such as Pratt-Miller Lap Time Simulator, Optimum Kinematics, Optimum Tire, and Optimum Dynamics. I aim to continue pursuing my passion for cars and motorsports after graduation through a full-time career in the automotive industry.

Tire Product Development Intern - Engineering Mechanics
Interned with the Engineering Mechanics team at the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company. In this role, I was responsible for meshing, configuring, and running finite element models to simulate rolling resistance and force and moment tests. I was also tasked with developing a MATLAB tool for visually and quantitatively comparing FEA predictions against lab data for tire force and moment performance.
