As a construction engineer for KNA, I work with project staff to create quality construction plans & calculation packages for bridge construction tasks include girder erection, demolition, temporary earthwork shoring & cofferdams, formwork, falsework, bridge jacking, and other associated tasks. I use and apply many aspects various structural design codes (AISC, AASHTO, NDS, ASCE-7, and ACI), different analysis software packages (RISA, Civil-Tech Shoring Suite, SPW911, Mathcad, and Excel), and different construction materials (soils, wood, steel, reinforced concrete, and analysis of composite materials). A quality construction design allows input from all levels of a project team, is safe & practical to construct, cost-effective & innovative, and is supported by sound calculations and plans that are easy to follow. I strive to work efficiently on each task and support designs as required from conception through the completion of construction.

-Three summer internships throughout the completion of my undergrad which include the following activities: -Assembling formwork via wood and steel construction in the company's fabrication shop -Assisting foremen and project managers in the field on the HWY 41/45 interchange in Oskosh, WI -AutoCAD drafting work Currently employed full-time with ZTI as a structural design engineer. Design duties include:-Formwork for concrete radius walls, hammerhead piers, slab bridge decks, steel girder and prestressed concrete girder decks, and specialty steel formwork design.-Bridge jacking plans for bearing replacements-Demolition plans for deck replacements or full bridge demolitions.-Assist foremen directly with assembly of designs in fabrication shop and field as required-Occasional surveying-Familiar with the use and application of different concrete forming products from EFCO, Safway, and Dayton-Superior.
