Application Engineer
Current- Collaborate with Sales/Fleet to size compressor packages on volume, pressure, accessory, lead time, and inventory constraints- Develop compression solutions for gas lift, gathering, boosting, and vapor recovery applications- Engage customer, vendor, and engineering contacts to create service estimates and technical sales proposals- Review AGA8 gas samples for horsepower availability and corrosives—(if needed, recommend appropriate NACE hardware)- Size PSV’s– (inlet/outlet flanges; orifice; pressure rating in accordance with API 520/521)- Obtain engine pedigree; have catalyst elements sized in accordance with customer site air permits- Initiate requests to compressor manufacturers to generate custom lube sheets and reference run files- Solve thermal challenges arising from changing seasons and/or insufficient cooling hardware - Analyze satellite telemetry to assist technician troubleshooting efforts- Build field setting plans to accommodate wide ranges of environmental variables and operating conditions- Participate in Engineering Research Group projects – (unit audits; database update; shifting workflows/SOP’s for reliability)- Coordinate lead time, shipping, and contract commencement dates to align with quarterly executive guidance on revenue-- Major Project, (1st Quarter, 2018):--- Ultrasonic Testing for corrosion on 26 units exposed to high concentration of CO2 in a process stream--- Determined points on process piping and pressure vessels for thickness readings to be taken--- Readings compared to ASME BPVC Sec VIII and B31.3 for min required thicknesses --- Red-lined P&ID’s and raw data stored digitally to unit folders on company network-- Additional Training --- Equity Engineering – ‘API 520/521 Pressure Relieving Systems’ - September 2021--- Ariel Headquarters – ‘Basic Product Training’ / ‘Ariel Technical School’ - April ‘18/Feb ‘19--- University of Oklahoma – ‘Operation and Maintenance of High Speed Compression’ - September 2017
