Jared Mcclendon Email and Phone Number
I have had the great honor of serving in the nuclear submarine community during my career in logistics. Coming up in this community, my ideals have been shaped to focus on integrity and first-time quality.I started with the basic levels of “box kicking,” receipt, storage, inventory, and issuance of materials. From 2011 through 2017 and 2018-2021, I maintained an average $2 Million annual budget for a logistics department of 16 people, performing the load out and resupply of a 150-member crew for field repairs and sustainment. In 2018 I led the logistics staff of the naval attachment at Cape Canaveral, Florida. From 2021 on, I have worked at the higher level of military supply chain management and global logistics, maintaining fleet operations in the European and African theaters of operations. In this role, I have had the opportunity to open new areas of operations and relations, establishing new warehouse and distribution locations while strengthening international partnerships. This most recent phase of my career has presented opportunities in personnel management. I have had the pleasure of serving as the Senior Enlisted Leader (SEL) for Submarine Operations in the European and African operations. As the SEL, a command-level senior enlisted position for a staff of 160 members, I have a significant role in every aspect of command-wide readiness and mission accomplishment. I report directly to the commanding officer and work closely with the executive officer in formulating and implementing all policies concerning the morale, welfare, job satisfaction, discipline, utilization, and training of enlisted personnel. As the SEL, I am directly responsible for the professional development of our middle-tier managers, Chief Petty Officers.-Infinite diversity in infinite combinations-I believe in the global community of humanity and have enjoyed building connections across the globe with my most recent experience in Europe and Africa. I feel that opening ourselves to new perspectives engages our minds and opens our hearts. To diversify my own experiences, I have lived in three countries and one overseas territory (US, Italy, Turkmenistan and Guam), while I have traveled to 23.
