When I am coaching I specialize in helping them to break down their limits and I work with them on becoming more productive. Often times clients do not even know what their ideal life would be like, and I mention how do you expect to get somewhere if you do not even know where you want to be. A clear goal is essential. I begin using unconditional positive regard with clients to build rapport. After some rapport has been built, I will challenge or confront clients on faulty belief systems. I use the steps in the well formed outcome to help my clients clarify what it is they want and how to achieve it.I mentor teens in a more casual setting to allow for more open discussion. I ask the adolescents a series of questions which allow the mentor to gain awareness of there assets and liabilities. Become aware of how they behave and their feelings, as well as developing a spiritual connection, It is up to each individual to come up with their own spiritual connection, which I do not judge. The only requirements are that this power be loving, caring, and greater than yourself.

I mentor up to 5 adolescents weekly and I work with them to achieve the goals their case workers and therapists have provided in their treatment plans. After each visit, I write a progress report discussing what I did with the adolescent during this visit, specifically in relation to the treatment plans goals.
